BODEGAS OSBORNE has been elaborating Sherry wines for more than 200 years. Its capital remains in the hands of the sixth and seventh generation of the founding family, descendants of Thomas Osborne Mann. Thanks to this long trajectory based on the production of excellent Sherry wines, in its cellars in El Puerto de Santa Maria they keep a few exquisite and rare soleras of very old generous wines that have been used throughout the years for the owning family’s own consumption and for the most exclusive clients.
There are two limited series of these wines:
Vinos Viejos (RARE Sherry) OSBORNE : they are some very scarce soleras that have belonged to the family for many years. Each of them has very personal and well defined characteristics: BC – 200 (Oloroso), P triangulo P (Palo Cortado), AOS (Amontillado), Solera India (Oloroso) and the PX Muy Viejo (Pedro Ximenez). We could say that they content the enological familiar DNA of the House of Osborne.
Vinos VORS : the origin of such soleras is in the neighbouring town of Jerez de la Frontera and after their acquisition by Bodegas Osborne years ago they rest now in the cellars of El Puerto de Santa María. Their brands are: Sibarita (Oloroso), Capuchino (Palo Cortado), Venerable (Pedro Ximenez) y Amontillado 51.1ª.
For the exclusive distribution of these Rare and VORS wines in Spain, an agreement has been signed between Compañía de Viñedos Iberian ( linked by its partners to Bodegas Osborne ). The latter will contribute with its national commercial network specialized in restaurants and specialized wine stores.
Viñas del Jaro is located on the outskirsts of Pesquera de Duero, a village wich is considered one of the most emblematic areas of wine production in Spain, the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero.
The winery was founded in 1997 using as a base the Estate El Quiñón with its 65 hectares and following the oenological philosophy of a constant study and analysis of the different sectors and plots in our vineyards, planted mainly with the variety Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and with two small plots of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The constant work on the fields allows us to have a maximum understanding ot our wineyards in order to improve their grapes and wines, which allows us to offer the most interesting personality in each of our vintages as a result of the union: Grape /Soils / Climate.
Sed de Caná
Bodegas y Viñedos de Cal Grau is located in the Southern part of one of the most prestigious wine producing areas, the small Denomination of Origin Priorat in the province of Tarragona. It was founded in 1999 on the fields of our La Solana estate with covers 42 hectares being the main varieties Garnacha and Cariñena (locally known as Samsó). It is located on a steep and montainous terrain and its soils are composed mainly of slate stone (“Licorella”), arranged in terraces that run through Mediterranean forest areas, almond-trees and centenary olive trees.
Our YASO wine is born in the heart of the Toro Denomination of Origin, where Iberian owns and runs the YASO Estate with its 15 hectares area and planted with Tinta de Toro, very close to the village of Morales de Toro. In addition, we have several lease agreements with very old vineyards in the municipalities of Valdefinjas and El Pego, that provide us every vintage with grapes of small diameter and great oenological potential.
Soils show abundant stoniness on the surface due to their fluvial origin. The predominant textural class is the clay loam, although there is a small zone that is loamy-sandy. The colour is ocher-dark, typical of the Toro soils due to the good content of organic material they show. They are soils that do not have salinity, very low contents of active limestone and a high power of water retention, which will improve the natural aquifers from which the vine will be sustained.
In the very heart of El Bierzo ( a shire in the province of León ) you can find the town of Cacabelos. That is the place where the project Viñedos de Lomopardo is born as a part of Compañía de Viñedos Iberian. For this purpose we count on the help and collaboration of our friends the Luna Beberide family, who has been elaborating excellent wines in this singular Denomination of Origin for more than 25 years. It is in their winery where Compañía de Viñedos Iberian elaborates and ages its red wine Lomopardo. To do so we have selected a vineyard of more than 40 years ( Valdetruchas Plot ) that sources 100 % of our Mencías.
These mountainous soils of humid and dun earth are formed mainly by quartzites and slates, and the vineyards are arranged on terraces in hills that range from 450 to 900 metres above sea level. It forms a beautiful assemblage between the rugged mountainous area, the slatey soils and the green vineyards, resulting in a small habitat that endows the grapes with the unique characteristics of their surroundings and soils.
Compañía de Viñedos Iberian is present in the D.O. Rueda since 2000 elaborating every year its wine VIÑA OROPENDOLA (100 % Verdejo).
This wine tries to express the personality of one of the most prestigious areas for the production of high quality white wine in Spain. The vineyards were planted on alluvial terraces and stony soils, near the Duero river banks, which are rich in calcium and magnesium. Every harvest they give the particular characteristics of this variety and we determine every ear the number of bottles to be produced. So far we have never exceeded 65,000 units in a single vintage.
Viñedos Mar de Arbolada is the project that Compañía de Viñedos Iberian developes in Rias Baixas Denomination of Origin, and it is born thanks to its close collaboration with the Galician vine-grower Santiago Roma, taking as a base a beautiful estate of only six hectares next to a small cellar of purely familiar and artisanal character.
The wines of this Denomination of Origin are of an Atlantic style, fresh and very aromatic, with an excellent fruit-bearing acidity that characterizes them. In winter there are frequent rainfalls that determine mild temperatures, with differences of temperature day – night not significant. Only rarely there are frosts. The summer is mild and the area’s own orography (valleys and hills) helps creating several microclimates.
Rol de Larosa is a wine of little production and it comes from a grape selection in vineyards at 70 meters above the sea level. The variety is 100% Albariño and the vineyards are located on a hill overlooking the Ria de Arousa ( Arousa estuary ) originated by the Atlantic Ocean and the mouth of the Umia river.

Viñedos Camino de la Piedra is the wine making project that Compañía de Viñedos Iberian has in the heart of Rioja, specifically in the renowned Rioja town of Fuenmayor, to elaborate a wine that expresses best the typical characteristics of this town’s vineyards under the concept of “Village Wine”.
The vineyards are all located in Fuenmayor and in different estates, they are between 25 and 40 years, on stony and clayey – calcareous soils, with different orientations, on sunny valleys, plains and high plateaus of different solar exposures which give to the whole a perfect ripeness to the grapes. The sites are diverse and are surrounded by hills, small pine forests, scrublands and are dotted with almond-trees. The grape varieties are Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano.
Quite close to the historical village of Moral de Calatrava, a land of castles and Templar knoghts, the enological project Viñedos de Aromaz is born based on one of the most beautiful estates of the area known as La Cañada. For this project, Compañía de Viñedos Iberian has joined the Casado family, owner of the estate and a modern winery named Quinta de Aves.
The estate is a real natural paradise located at 700 meters above seal level and composed of vineyards, rockroses, centenary olive trees, oak forests and water from the different tributaries of the Rambla de Santa Cruz river.
La Capitana plot is where our Aromaz comes from, and it is an old vineyard of more than 40 years conducted in goblet on a very limestone and stony area. It is located on the upper part of the estate with a total extension of 15 hectares.
MISSALE is an artisanal cava of limited productions made by traditional methods that is born thanks to the friendship and collaboration of Compañía de viñedos Iberian with the wine producer Ramon Canals, whose family has an experience in the production of cavas by traditional methods of more than 100 years (three generations), being its main base located in the very heart of the Upper Penedés ( Cataluña ) surrounded by vineyards of their own.
MISSALE is a coupage of the autoctonous varieties Xarel.lo, Macabeo, Parellada that has had an ageing on lees for 12 months.
