Jaros Albillo Mayor 2021

‘Jaros Albillo Mayor’ is a single-varietal white wine D.O Ribera del Duero, 100% Albillo Mayor. The grapes for this wine come from a south-facing 1.6-ha low production sector, with sandy, clayey, limestone soils. ‘Jaros Albillo Mayor’ is made in our winery and estate ‘Viñas del Jaro’, located in Pesquera de Duero. The vineyard covers an area of 46 ha divided into 28 sectors, according to grape variety, soil, orientation and altitude. ‘Jaros Albillo Mayor’ is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels. The wine is a bright yellow colour, intense on the nose with aromas of dried apricots, honey, orange peel, peach and ripe pineapple Toasty aromas from its ageing in oak barrels, notes of nutmeg and freshly baked bread. Full-bodied entry on the palate, sweet and fresh, with a pleasant bitterness.
