Denominación:

The Priorat Qualified Designation of Origin is a small mountainous region located in the province of Tarragona. Our winery Cal Grau is located in “El Loar”, in a 42 ha estate surrounded by mountains, olive trees, almond trees and scrubland, with vineyards classified by altitude, soils, variety and orientation. Of the 42 hectares available, 22 are vineyards, located on terraces of slate soil. The Garnacha and Cariñena varieties form a wine with a more aromatic and fruity profile, conveying typical signs of identity of the area. It is an elegant and easy to drink wine, with a 17-day maceration with its skins and a minimum of 4 months aging in French oak barrels. Its name refers to an old lady named Agnés, who 40 years ago used to take walks around our farm to collect aromatic and medicinal herbs. Le Petite Agnés offers a wide variety of red and black fruit notes, with aromas of dried aromatic herbs. It is an attractive wine with good acidity on the palate, just the right amount of concentration and light toasty notes on the finish.
