Sed de Caná is made with grapes from the highest part of Pago Chafandín, with vines over 50 years old on very poor soils, with a lot of boulders and a southward slope, thus obtaining high quality grapes. Sed de Caná es un 100% Tinto Fino / Tempranillo. The grapes from Pago Chafandín are very small and have an extraordinary flavor, yielding less than 1 kg per vine. Once the wine has been made and the barrel tasting has been carried out, we can be sure that there is Thirst for Cana for bottling that year. This wine spends about 24 months in French oak barrels and another 6 months in a cement tank. Sed de Caná has a great aging potential and can be kept for up to 50 years. It is an intense cherry red wine with a small garnet rim, mineral nose, ripe berries and noble menthol notes. There are fine herbs, balsamic, misto, ferric notes and charcoal with an earthy finish. The production of Sed de Caná ranges from 6 to 8 barrels of 300 liters capacity per vintage.
