For the elaboration of Badaceli 2018 we use grapes from our estate La Solana de Cal Grau, located in El Loar (Tarragona). The combination of the different plots of the Partida de El Figueral, with the changing orography of the area, gives the grapes a great complexity of nuances. Clos Badaceli Garnacha 2018 is a wine that fuses the garanacha profile of “El Priorat” with the minerality of the licorella (slate) soils. It is macerated for 27 days on the skins and fermented in small stainless steel tanks for a total of 29 days on the skins. Finally, the wine is aged in new or semi-new French oak barrels for 14 months, obtaining one of our most exclusive and unique wines. This wine has a high cherry red color with violet garnet rim, intense mineral, ferrous aromas and notes of wild red berries. It also has notes of mint, aromatic herbs, leafy, earthy and stony notes. Badaceli is fresh on the palate, sapid, with flavors of berries and toasted roasted notes from its time in oak.
